Trauma
Counseling
Traumas in life stay with us in ways most people don’t realize. They can affect the mind and the body. Trauma counseling provides a safe space to work through these traumas and their effects to regain a sense of control over your life and your emotions.

The Basics
of Trauma Therapy
Trauma therapy can be scary and difficult, which is why I always put my clients in the driver’s seat in each session. I use the brainspotting technique, which is a brain and body-focused approach to break through trauma. Working through traumas and painful experiences can be intense. I let my clients dictate timelines to ensure they feel safe enough to proceed. If at any point a client feels overwhelmed, I can adjust our sessions to account for this. Similarly, we can ramp up efforts if you are feeling like the process is not intense enough.
Progress is not linear, but healing is very possible.
When to Try
Trauma Therapy
Sometimes we don’t even realize how much trauma affects our daily life. That’s what I’m here for. If you can relate to any of the following, it might be time to give trauma therapy a chance:
You constantly relive the same experiences, which makes it difficult to feel grounded or present.
Talk therapy doesn’t seem to be working, but you want to experience a real change.
Emotions like shame and pain are starting to feel overwhelming, and you are ready for relief and clarity.
You feel disconnected from your body, and you want to feel attuned and safe with yourself.
You want to get rid of the pain of the past so you can finally move forward with your life—on your own terms.
You want to break free from patterns of people-pleasing, hypervigilance, avoidance, and perfectionism.
You long to feel safe and connected in relationships, but continue to self-sabotage because the fear of rejection feels like too much to handle.
Trauma doesn’t have to rule your life anymore. Contact us today to schedule a consultation and see if trauma therapy is the right option for this stage of your life.
